Ride Description: 

 This will be the 5th annual Resolution Ride, or not?  We will be starting from the Cottage Lake Park in  Woodinville near Safeway at intersection of Avondale and Woodinville Duvall Rd and will flirt with Avondale and nearby roads, circling around Marymoor and back to Cottage Lake Park.  Come prepared to share your resolutions for 2018 and how that is working for you so far.  We will park in the first parking lot of the main entrance off Woodinville Duvall Rd.  Good news is that we will have outrider, Terry Purdy, with us.

This ride will help you prepare for the Chilly Hilly Ride on Sunday, Feb 25th. We will start from Farrel-McWhirter Park in Redmond on Redmond Rd between Novelty Hill Rd and NE116th, zig-zag off NE 116th and skirt English Hill, heading back down towards NE165th/Avondale and climbing again in the Redmond Ridge area,  a lunch break at QFC and then back to Farrel-McWhirter Park.  Restrooms and water should be within main park unless closed. Otherwise we can stop at PCC at corner of NE116th and Avondale.

Spring is here! Melinda has drawn up a route around the upper part of Lake Washington to start Sunday Pedalers on Kinda Easy Streets (SPOKES) off from Log Boom Park. From there we will go up Juanita Drive and wend our way via Kirkland, cross over Lake Washington on new SR 520 trail and connect with Burke-Gilman Trail after going through the UW campus area, taking Burke-Gilman trail back to Log Boom. We will lunch somewhere along the ride, maybe at Metropolitan Market.

S.P.O.K.E.S. (Sunday Pedallers on Kinda Easy Streets) moves to Seattle this month. Join us at Gas Works Park ( parking lot) and we'll take the Burke Gilman trail past Theo's Chocolate and on to the Ballard Locks. We cross the locks as the boats and ships allow, then on to a brief touch of Discovery Park (our short hill). We drop down to another trail that takes us to the Olympic Sculpture Garden where we'll snack on our lunches (PBJ is always good!) and head back. There is a bathroom stop near this area. We'll travel past Seattle Pacific, cross the Fremont Bridge and back to Gas Works Park.

Meet at Gas Works Park parking lot to sign the waiver, listen to safety briefing, and meet other riders. Please bring a spare tube, patch kit and pump to change your own flat tire. Dress appropriately for the weather in layers that can be added or removed. Helmets are required!

If the weather is inclement check below in the comments section (Cascade calendar). The ride will be cancelled for rain. Check the comments section 2 hours prior to the start for cancellation information.

Starting from the Loehmann's Plaza at the Starbucks near QFC, we will follow the I-90 Trail into Seattle, stop for cinnamon rolls at High Point Cafe in the Madrona area, and then zigzag back to the I-90 Trail and Loehmann's Plaza. There are restrooms at QFC or Starbucks nearby.

Strawberry Festival Ride - Sunday June 25, 2017 - 10am
