S.P.O.K.E.S (Sunday Pedalers on Kinda of Easy Streets or Saturday Pedalers during the summer) is a monthly bicycle ride that is a part of the Cascade Bicycle Club Daily Ride Program in the greater Seattle Washington area.  We also ride on Saturdays during the summer.
The pace of the ride is leisurely at 10 to 12 mph on the flats, slower up hills and faster down hills.
We usually ride on the 4th Sunday of every month, but the ride schedule varies based on ride leader and event destination schedules.
The distance of the ride usually varies from 15 to 25 miles with some hills and with a lunch stop in the middle of the ride.  We try to have two Cascade Club ride leaders - one in the front & one in the back.  The person in the front leads the ride, while the person in the back can help with flats and making sure that no one gets left behind.
The goal of the S.P.O.K.E.S ride leaders is to have fun, meet new people, learn interesting bike routes and bicycle safely.  See the Getting Started & FAQ page for general ride information and suggestions for new riders.
